Cosmetic dentistry case studies

Here is a snapshot of some of our happy clients from all over Melbourne and beyond after they got their smile back. Our treatments ranged from simple teeth whitening to dental implants and bridges.

*Please Note: These before and after pictures are an example of what can be achieved. Please speak to an appropriately qualified dental health practitioner, even if it is for a second opinion, for options and what results you can expect to achieve. Your own results and the length of treatment will vary depending on your existing dental condition and other factors which can change the complexity of any procedure.

Composite Veneers

Duration of Treatment: 1 hour appointment

This young patient had quite large gaps between her teeth. This was due to both orthodontic reasons as well as having a smaller tooth size naturally. A usual course of treatment would have involved orthodontics to close the gaps, but this option was refused. A compromise was to do either porcelain or composite veneers, and composite veneers were chosen as the cheaper option. In the future, it will be converted to porcelain. The teeth were whitened prior to placing the composite veneers.

Dental Bridges, Porcelain Crowns and Orthodontics

Duration of Treatment: 2 years

This case was done in phases over a 2 year period. We began with orthodontics to straighten the teeth, and then used bridges and porcelain veneers to recreate her smile and functionality.

Dentures and Porcelain Crowns

This lady had broken her teeth over the years, had an ill-fitting denture, and was struggling to eat. We made a plan to give her back her smile, as well as create a new denture so she could function like she used to.

More information can be found on our Denture or Implant Denture pages.

Porcelain Crowns for an Erosion Case

This patient had suffered years of acid reflux which destroyed her teeth. She also had an old Porcelain Crown with metal in it. We managed to save her teeth by managing her reflux, and rebuilt her smile with porcelain crowns.

Porcelain Crowns and Bridges for Broken Down Teeth

Duration of Treatment: 4 weeks

Years of wear and tear, as well as grinding and clenching, had destroyed these teeth. A full plan was created to reconstruct the smile, and with the help of our technician we were able to achieve a great result. Porcelain Crowns, Bridges and Veneers were used.

Creating a Lasting Smile with Porcelain Veneers

Duration of Treatment: 4 weeks

This patient presented to our practice looking for a way to create her ideal smile. A few options were given, including orthodontics with fixed braces or Invisalign clear aligners. She was not happy with the shape and size of her existing teeth and felt that even after spending the time in fixed appliances, she would still be unhappy with her smile.

After we worked out a few solutions with our local technicians, she decided on porcelain veneers. The teeth were prepared appropriately with a reduction of 1–2 mm per tooth. Shades were taken, as well as impressions provided to our local Australian laboratory.

Once the porcelain veneers were constructed, they were tried for fit and appearance, and then cemented into place, with an amazing result for the patient.
